Teamspeak is a voice chat server, so there are no worlds, mods or game settings to manage.

Claim admin first

The first time your server starts, the Console page prints a ServerAdmin privilege key, which is also saved in the logs folder on the Files page. Copy it before you share the address. The first person to use the key becomes the server admin.

Connect

Copy the address from the Connect card on the Overview page. In the Teamspeak 3 client, choose Connections > Connect and paste the address, including the port. When you are connected, go to Permissions > Use Privilege Key and paste your key.

Move an existing server

Your channels, groups and settings are stored in ts3server.sqlitedb. To move them, stop the server, upload your copy of the file on the Files page to replace the current one, then start the server.

Where the settings are

  • In the Teamspeak client: server name, password, channels and permissions. Most things are managed here.
  • Settings > Startup: the Teamspeak server version.
  • Network: your ports. Leave these as they are, as your other Teamspeak ports are set up for you.
  • Backups: take a copy before an update, if your plan includes backups.

A free Teamspeak server is limited to 32 slots.

Still stuck? Our team can look at your server with you.
