Your server does not start on its own at first, because you need to supply the game.

Before you start

We do not provide the game. You need a licence that allows hosting. A Steam copy cannot host a dedicated server, and one licence cannot host and play at the same time.

  1. On the Files page, upload your installer to the installer folder. This is either FarmingSimulator25_*_ESD.img, or Setup.exe with every Setup-*.bin file beside it. Put any DLC in dlc.
  2. Enter your serial in CD-Key / Serial in Settings > Startup.
  3. Start the server on the Console page. The first start runs the installer and can take a while.

README-FIRST.txt on your server explains this as well.

The web portal

Maps, mods, save slots and starting or stopping the game are handled in the GIANTS web portal, not the panel. Open your server address in a browser with the second port from the Network page, like this:

http://your-address:WEB_PORT

Log in with Web portal username and Web portal password from Settings > Startup.

Connect

Running in the panel means the portal is ready. The map takes minutes longer. Once it has loaded, find your server by name in the game's multiplayer list.

Add mods or a save

Upload mods to data/mods on the Files page, then choose them in the portal. Saves are in data/savegame1, data/savegame2 and so on. Stop the game before changing a save.

Make yourself an admin

In the game, enter the In-game admin password shown in Settings > Startup.

Where the settings are

Settings > Startup holds the server name, passwords, map and player limit, but most of these only apply on the first start. After that, change them in the web portal.

Still stuck? Our team can look at your server with you.
